I recall reading some comments (not on these boards, I don't think) about how they don't trust Littlefinger with regards to Sansa (not off-base, really), and they hope Tyrion looks out for her.

Spending most of my time studying for exams, but managed break-time for some pop culture.

Actually, a majority of the newbs seem to have put 2 and 2 together already re: Dany's plan.

Cersei's stuff in AFFC is some of the series' best black comedy.  It's basically ten chapters of this:

Since they excised Ramsay from the second season, this plot is meant to both give Theon something to do (because Alfie Allen's probably not just going to hang around for two seasons not looking for other work) and to function as a replacement for Ramsay's earlier introduction.  When we first met him, he was pretended

In his defence, unlike most of the lords of Westeros he seems to actually care about the peasants.

I think they're trying to approximate Ramsay's introduction in the second book, where he seemed like Theon's ally at first.

Roose repeatedly points out that Ramsay's a moron who does totally counterproductive stuff just because he feels like it.

@avclub-adad33d3da210f8c6efe515ace3e7089:disqus , I agree it's not big, but again, what's the point of them not being Kevan's kids?  They made a conscious decision to change that, and I can't for the life of me see why.

@avclub-e56ced79d1049a08025835434a572e01:disqus , House Mormont got its land after the Stark king at the time won it from the Ironmen in a wrestling match.  They're latecomers to the whole landholding game.

@avclub-e56ced79d1049a08025835434a572e01:disqus , he's appeared I think four times in a minor role.  He's not important, but it's a random and seemingly nonsensical change to their backstory.

There was also that merchant-assassin who got dragged to death.

The CEO must have sent them a memo.

Well, on that point, I think his backstory is that he's an infiltrator/secret agent type, not actually a dungeon attendant.

No, I get why they made them both Lannisters (they did the same thing with Cleos Frey last year), but why are they not Ser Kevan's kids anymore?

Also, Theon sure is lucky to have that anonymous guy looking out for him.  I'm sure no harm will at all will come to him so long as that guy's around!

It's a leaping trout.

That was the worst transition to end credits music I've ever seen.

Martin has said the rainbow thing was not actually meant as an allusion to the gay rights symbol.

I think Rickon exists to be the Lord of Winterfell when the series ends, as the remaining male Stark (with Bran a tree god or something, Jon off being a Targaryen or whatever, I expect Sansa will be some sort of political player in the South, I don't know where Arya will be, but she's not interested in being a lord).
