Dara O'briain had a funny line about why he told 'christian jokes' but not 'muslim jokes', which was essentially: "I don't know enough about islam to make good jokes about it, and frankly, neither do you."

The Christian thing to do is to take orphans, make them confess their sins until their souls are all clean, and then murder them in an alley so they go straight to heaven without having to live with the indignity of having someone other than their biological parents raise them. Just makes sense, really.

I can't speak for Bill Maher, but I can't remember any time that Jon Stewart ever used any really sexist language…

"I used to be sad that I didn't have pizza, until I met a woman who wanted soup instead of pizza, so I bought her some soup"

I think the twist is going to be that we are all just fictional characters in Kauffman's novel. The day the book is released, the sky will open up and his face will appear, revealing once and for all that our reality is just the product of his mind.

they fight with their bums?

A cricket once kicked me in the toe. I stomped the hell out of it.

Hey, Marty/Calvin is a hero to the black community of Hill Valley! Not only did he invent rock 'n roll, he also inspired the first black mayor of his town, single-handedly starting the civil rights movement in California. Also, I think he taught black musicians to say no to drugs, or something…?

My prediction: It will be a story of a woman, maybe a single mother, who is able to overcome the soul-crushing drudgery of the modern serfdom of low-wage jobs and an uncaring society through her art.

There's something about the Goo Goo Dolls' songs, and 'Slide' in particular, that doesn't just get me annoyed, it gets me downright angry. Just thinking about the line "What you feel is what you are and what you are is beautiful" makes me grit my teeth.

According to the WSJ: "Stephen Colbert has suspended production of his satirical comedy show temporarily because of an emergency in Mr. Colbert's family, according to people familiar with the show."
