“That was the year, my twenty-eighth, when I was discovering that not all of the promises would be kept, that some things are in fact irrevocable and that it had counted after all, every evasion and every procrastination, every word, all of it.” Love this essay.

I almost mentioned that song in my previous comment. I remember the scene, too. It's a great song. And I hear you, obviously, on the easy way out they're taking now. I'm sorry you had to go through such a dark time. But yeah, music can be a life changing experience sometimes. All the best.

Yeah. In the first few seasons, the music was great and it strengthened the scenes, it fell into place. There are scenes of the show that I remember in large part because of the music. Not only the obvious ones but little moments where the music felt just right. "Rapture" by Ingrid Michaelson, "Show me" by John Legend

Or Quinn.

Partly because, again, the music has been quite uninspired for a while now. To me, Grey's sense of rhythm has disappeared.

I don't think Carrie Mathison is the best character in Homeland. Not consistently anyway.

Not Dawson. I know it's not the question, sorry.

Just want to say that I loved that they used that last song, Who Knows Where the Time Goes. I thought it was a great choice.

And William H. Macy directed it.

It was Hong Kong, I think. And yeah, it looked like fun.

Yeah ! It's about time. I think they stayed a while in Italy so hopefully a big part of the season will be set there. I hope (and I trust) there won't be too many stereotypes about Europe (maybe they're all just packed into this trailer). Anyway, I expect a lot of food and a lot of "Yummy" faces on Aziz's part.

But not everything needs to be tied up with a neat little bow. It felt ambiguous to some, pretty clear to others. To me, more description would have killed this beautiful scene.

It was ok.
But I can't with Zooey Deschanel's fake laugh anymore. Jess has turned into a cartoon character.

Look at this face… I remember seeing him for the first time in "10 Things I hate about you" and already thinking that he was something else, different than the typical pretty young actor. And later came Ennis and his heartbreaking performance. He did an interview in France for "I'm not There" and said that if he had

Thank you for the update. Yes, for me, The Leftovers is very much a show that has to be felt and digested before anything else. It's a very personal experience. I couldn't talk much about it afterwards.
These days, I'm watching The Good Fight, which I still like but don't love yet. And the last season of Girls (two

And then his little, casual dance moves in front of the babysitter. No cut, no hesitation in his delivery. Chilling indeed.

"horrible tattooed pig-monster"? Seriously? Your comment is inappropriate and so 2012, man.

I get that you didn't see it that way. I didn't see the post-show interview.
But they both look so sad at the diner, so resigned. There isn't much hope there for the two of them. This scene was a farewell to their love story. I think they might see each other again, as friends. To me, Hannah, alone on her bed, looking

I think the ending of the Graduate is the two of them realizing how big a choice they just made. They start to think about their future and naturally, it’s scary. But this isn’t to say that they don’t stay together. They’re still looking in the same direction. I think they very much keep on going together towards the
