Yep. Inconclusive.

I liked episode 5, with Marc Maron and Emily Ratajkowski (Art and Life) and episode 7, with Jane Adams and Gugu Mbatha-Raw with a little bit of Jake Johnson (Chemistry Read).

Man, I'm looking for the name of the song at the end of the Marc Maron episode. Can't find it anywhere. Please help.

Yes, will do. And I do agree with you, by the way.

Sure to be good too :
- the inevitable love/hate relationship between the deputy chief of staff and Kirkman's assistant.
- the upcoming clash of opinions between the Kirkman's administration and the first lady who is, I believe, a civil rights lawyer.

Yes, it was fun. But do you think Adam Canto is a regular looking guy?

Mike was there in the beginning, when they came to pick up Kirkman and his wife after the attack. It seems like he knows the family.

I love Kevin Rahm. He's good but I don't know if I buy him as a police captain. I don't know why. By the way, a Random Roles with Kevin Rahm? I'd read that.

Hey, AV Club, I haven't watched the episode yet. So as someone who likes to wander around on this beloved site, I say thank you for the subtle headline.

I loved Nick's delivery of "Deedee? Uh that's not a name". I missed him the most.
"Schmidty ! Jess ! Winston ! Winston's cat ! … Fine, Cece !"

She is sometimes unlikable but the show isn’t trying to defend her at all costs and that's what's so good about it. Her methods are questioned during the show, by all kinds of characters and I think we are meant to see her as a flawed person, alone against the world.
VM starts with the end of illusions, with Veronica,

As Alan Sepinwall said "There is a stretch of 42 episodes spanning seasons 2, 3 and 4 (from "Leslie's House" through "Dave's Return") without a bad one among them (…) For two-odd years, every "Parks" episode was at a minimum very good, and at a maximum a classic of the form, mixing slapstick, social satire and simple

You mean in the sense of taking a very particular, sometimes crazy idea to try and say larger, more meaningful things about life as opposed to over produced, ostentatious products that end up saying nothing at all?

I liked Roadies a little bit more by the end. But yes, it was kind of a mess, which was frustrating because I could somehow see a good show hidden somewhere in there.
About Studio 60, I remember loving Judd Hirsch's opening monologue. The whole scene with everyone panicking backstage until they decide to go to

I liked The Lifeguard. Nothing Baywatch about it. Kristen Bell plays a more resigned and bare character, a nice change from her usual roles. It's interesting. And I think I'll watch anything with Martin Starr.

Noir is definitely "genre".

I don't think I have managed to make any of my friends watch Veronica Mars, for that exact reason. Whereas I would love to watch it again for the first time. Whatever, it's their loss.

You should watch Veronica Mars. The pilot is one of the very good ones and the first season is perfect, IMO. And Bell is the show.
Edit : I just read that you watched the pilot. Lucky you.

"Dear frozen yogurt. You are the celery of desserts. Be ice cream or be nothing. Zero stars." Maybe it's a nod from Schur to Ron Swanson.

Ugh, that storyline. But I, for one, liked the pilot much more than the Roadies pilot.
