I gasped when Lucy lighted the gas lamp in her room. That long shot was magnificent, a Georges de La Tour painting. Hats off, Soderbergh.

Yes, that was my feeling as well. Not sure why they made this choice at that moment, but it felt like watching a cliché version of a gangster show, a show within the show.

Great, great episode.
What about that strange little moment when Kalinda called Diane to tell her the witness was killed? The choice of music was so different from the overall tone of the episode. Even the high angle shot at the end of the scene was a change of tone. But I loved it.
And I have to say, Matt Czuchry is

But, seriously, are they ever going to shoot that second season? The more casting rumors there are, the less I'm interested in season 2.

Thanks for the article.

I was going to write the same thing. The distinction is important especially because it says so much, throughout the show, about the relationship between Alicia and Will. And it's more pessimistic, more definitive, I think.

I recently re-watched the season 6 episode of the West Wing where Leo has his first heart attack. He has a big argument with Bartlet and then goes alone in the Camp David woods and collapses. And I don't know why, but I felt so sad, knowing what was going to happen off-screen a year or so later, to see Leo all alone

"That poor girl, she doesn't know that loving you is the worst way to get to you." I think Betty said it best.

"I heard wafe."

"Miles, sit your ass down. Sit your ass down, Miles" So funny.

I was thinking more about the "kindness" part. In an ideal world, the kind Finn would stand a chance in this campaign and I wish Eli had to establish that kind of quality. But he doesn't have to because it doesn't matter. Unfortunately I can't see (for now) how a man like Finn can survive in this race for district

Oh, that little moment was wonderful.

"If society valued kindness and a good haircut, I'd established that". Yes, please. Do.

I think it is Bulbform by Trust.

After re-watching it, I think she took the stairs because the elevator wasn't coming fast enough and she wanted to go and tell Eli about the tap ASAP.

I loved it when Cary was telling Jeff what to do at the office. The little detail of Cary's voice replacing Jeff's voice when he went to talk to the general counselor : "Before I go further, this report must remain confidential and there could be no repercussions for me". It was awesomely done.

"What's next?"

I like Alicia's interactions with Finn very much so far. There is a simplicity in their conversations that's unusual coming from her and quite beautiful to watch. The terrible circumstances in which they had to meet (death, trauma and mourning) allow them to only be themselves with each other. I hope it keeps going

This. It was always about the "How", not the "Who".
