Tried that Ruby Red when it first came out and I was living in Austin. Not the worst of the Shiner specialty beers (that prize goes to the truly awful Smokehaus).

Sweet sassy molassy, Macallan 1966. What I wouldn't give for a glass of that whisky.

If it was green screen they did a damn good job of it.

That's how I read the scene, too. It fits with his earlier story of dragging a fellow agent out of his house to be shot as the family looked on as well.

Yup. All the most violent periods of Soviet history.

I almost cried when Gabriel was talking about the purges. The horror was palpable. What a way for Langella to exit the show.

Yeah, they can travel in the TARDIS back to the 30s so auld Ken can prove to everyone he was right about Hitler being a Zionist. It'll be great.

The goal of taking over David was to use his powers as a "world breaker" to rule over all of existence, or at least that's the way I read it.

I don't think there's anything else coming up on TV that I'm more excited for than the Aubrey Plaza/Jemaine Clement scenes we're gonna get from this show.

Or you could just take some acid and get the same type of psychological effects. Better yet, why not do both

You gotta watch Fargo, my friend, you gotta.

Every time I think about him reciting that Ginsberg poem I start laughing.

Was that the "equinox" the general at Division 3 referred to, I wonder?

That goddamn cell phone buried in snow playing the hokey pokey gives me the serious creeps.

FARGO.

"You already know what to do, Emmy voters."

They also used "Astronomy Domine," a Barrett-era song in one of the earlier episodes if I recall. Some good Floyd cuts in this show.

I love the way Clark just went "shit" when David clumped all the soldiers into that ridiculous soldier-sculpture.

Outstanding, I cannot fucking WAIT for season 2 with Jemaine Clement/Aubrey Plaza scenes. I was rocking out to "Children of the Revolution" when it kicked in, what a great track. Little Hannibal nod there with the human tower as well, perhaps? This was such a strong first season, I'll probably rewatch it all over

Damn, beat me to it.
