GWAR are gods. There are none higher.

Uh… how about the locker room, you know, after the shower, post-post-shower-dressing?
The way they come off is far more believable as kids in their mid-teens. I would buy the bullying and the conversations they have as a high school thing, but not as a grade school thing.
He doesn't know he's a "space general", that's the thing. He thinks that he and the rest of the kids are just in a new military school, using some high-tech training simulators to make grades. The innocence of most of the characters (the "good kids", which include Ender) is played up almost to the point of parody. …
Vegetarian is one of those things that you are or you are not. Does she eat no meat? Then she's a vegetarian. Does she eat a little bit of meat now and then but prefers vegetables? Then she's an omnivore.
If that's true, then people have been explaining the book to you rather poorly. The twist is not particularly obviously coming, not for the book's intended audience, and the audience figures it out along with Ender.
What you're missing here, Bureaupath, is that Ender, and the rest of the students, are not told that the "VR game" is actually a battle happening in deep space between real humans and real xenos. Up until very near to the end, the kids don't have a clue that their wins and losses are actually affecting real people. …

Eh, sorry. I have friends who are involved in this sort of thing, and am myself a combat veteran. I'm just fucking tired of seeing, in media and society, this pervasive opinion that drone combat is somehow less-impactful than being on the ground in a firefight. Shit, at least as an infantryman, I had the…
Check out Powells.com, it's a massive bookstore located in Portland, OR. If they don't have a copy, then the book has ceased to exist in this dimension.

His homophobia was not as obvious or overt when he wrote the book. There's also several questionably homoerotic scenes in the book. No idea if those made it to the screen. Probably not.
You should read this article about drone-piloting. Anyone who claims that it's not "real war" is a fucking moron. http://www.gq.com/news-poli…
OSC has already gotten paid. Whether this movie bombs or makes a billion dollars will not change that fact. What it could change, however, is whether they license the rest of the series, unless they've done so already (and probably have). So…. go see it. Or don't. It matters not one bit to OSC.
Yep. That's Forks. Or, really, most of the Olympic Peninsula.
Well, in the time of our largest population booms (such as Africa, right now, today) we're breeding teenagers with older men, so… maybe not such a great example.
I don't think i have stated, or implied, that we should be making decisions based on the lack of human civilization…in fact, I think I have said, several times at this juncture, that such would be the opposite of what I'm saying.
Eric Idle had a thing about this…
The reason you're not convincing me of what was said is because I don't buy the bullshit he, or you, are selling.
Because, as I said, Nature doesn't give a fuck about our cities, our digital watches, our Mercedes-Benzes, our social contracts, our laws, our Starbucks, our art, our music, our accomplishments…. any of that shit. Nature gives not one, single fuck about any of that. The earlier part of our natural evolution was more…
