Assassination of Jesse James was a fascinating film, though you have to be in the right mood for its measured pace.

As for me, I'm not much of a Doctor Who fan at all…yet Blink is still on my DVR's hard drive, locked against deletion, because I know I'll be watching it again and again. It's got a very creative story structure, and a charming performance by Carey Mulligan. Really looking forward to this film as well.

I love the idea behind this show, but the execution (from what I saw) was way too formulaic. I keep wanting to give it another chance.

It's one of those things you have to play along with if you are going to enjoy the show.

I think Scott did spend a fair bit of time talking about the cult aspects of the film (albeit in the context of his own negative opinion), so I think it fits the idea behind this feature.

Any good mid-season replacements in the pipeline?
…because this list does not fill me with much anticipation for the coming year.

Growing up, the only UK shows we ever saw in Canada were the very best ones, and it was probably the same in the States. The Prisoner, Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, Sandbaggers, Yes Minister, etc., plus all the various great miniseries (Prime Suspect, Cracker, and the like). It gave the false impression that British
