Has there been a successful comic-to-TV adaptation, yet? Because every once in a while a property like this or Preacher or Watchmen will be rumored to considered for a show or miniseries and until Walking Dead nothing's ever come of it.

Are we talking about the same thing? I don't know if Sandman was ever even popular with kids. This isn't Chip 'N' Dale's Rescue Rangers.

I'm curious whether they'd go with the "gaunt Robert Smith" look for Dream. It definitely wouldn't work as well on TV as in the comics.
