In my opinion a film can and should stand on its own, so if you want an umblemished, objective viewing it's probably best to see it before reading the book.

This movie sounds awesome and the trailer is cool, I am just so sick and weary of full-on CGI eyegasms. It all kind of looks the same these days, and not particularly realistic. Granted I don't know a way they could create the worlds they envisioned with practical effects.

In this version of Blade Runner, Emmet Walsh's nose hairs are in full 3D.

I enjoy the third act of Bottle Rocket. It's anti-climactic but I guess that's the point.

It's not so much that he acts in this crap, it's that he's started making cheesy references to his past iconic roles. Like "are you talking to me?" in Rocky & Bullwinkle and "The Godfocker" (shudder). Plus he's listed as a producer on all the Parents movies.

I'm sure Ian McKaye will give a nice lecture to the audience before and during each set.

I saw Michael Mann do a Mohicans Q&A a few months ago and he went on for a good bit about his admiration for Russell Means. His performance in that film really is remarkable, especially going toe to toe with the incomparable Wes Studi.

SNL is amazing in that even the comedians/actors with the most integrity/cred will do any dumb shit the writers tell them to.
