Imagine this episode with Strax as the companion!
"My name is Strax, and I was born to conquer the universe for the ever-lasting glory of the Great and Vast Sontaran Empire."

Who-thnail and I! …I'll see myself out.
@avclub-f5fc0943a2d597c869afec4103a54605:disqus I think the person who just BRIEFLY passes in front of Clara in the Troughton sequence was supposed to be Eight. But, there will be hell to pay if McGann doesn't appear in the 50th, him regenerating into Hurt, using the Moment, SOMETHING.
CARTMELLLLLL!
Definitely not getting picked up by Delta airlines. Because we're Del-ta Air-Lines and life is a fucking nightmaaaare.
(Mandarin Voice) Theyyy never saw it coming.
NO TOUCHING. NO TOUCHING.
I'm having nothing of this. I enjoy this song greatly.
My penis did something similar.
Time Crash as well!
I definitely heard Susan explaining the TARDIS acronym and Ian saying "A thing that looks like a police box, standing in a junkyard, that can move anywhere in space and time?" My only wish for these upcoming two episodes before the finale would be some references to Eight, a personal favourite of mine.
My brain is farting like I've been eating cerebral burritos, what is the Entropy saga? The E-Space trilogy, or something to do with Deadly Assassin?
This was a FANTASTIC episode. Series 7 is shaping up quite wonderfully, and Matt Smith is truly showing his acting skill. And the fact the Doctor has subsets of the Eye of Harmony is a great tie to the Eighth Doctor's TARDIS.
I'm gonna get shit for this, but LA Woman. Or, By The Way by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
If that's true, there's gonna be a lot of cleanup involved on my end. Of the "shit-my-pants" variety.
I know! I love that the original voice of the Daleks, forgive me for not remembering his name, is being portrayed by Nicholas Briggs, current voice of the Daleks! Also, I'm caught in a toss-up between having Gatiss or Cross take over after Moffat eventually stands down.
I felt the unmasked Ice Warrior was well-designed, yet poorly realized. If anyone has the chops to play the First Doctor again, it's Warner or David Bradley. All in all, a pretty COOL episode. …I hate myself.
I love the fact that Cross dropped in a reference to Castrovalva in the Doctor's monologue. Love that story.
I see… now that I think about it, you're right. Don't know why I got so defensive.
The Doctor is most CERTAINLY in the business of fighting gods! The Seventh Doctor was constantly battling the Great Old Ones in the Virgin New Adventures and Big Finish stories! Also, the Great Intelligence is also known as Yog-Sothoth, a Great Old One.
