Yeah, good on you for figuring that out now that the next episode aired…
It is called a "spoiler".

In case of POI, it has (more than) half a dozen different factions with their own arcs going on and rarely feels isolated to the weekly cases.

Well, I knew beforehand thanks to the commentariat and yeah, that improved those scenes.

It seems that it has something to do with the length of the episode. Columbo and Sherlock are both feature-length and they don't have to produce a whole season at once. Therefore writing is going to be more focused on well-designed cases.

"Since the most obvious is always the least obvious"
Well played, sir.

I know. There is a number of F's on this site. I'd like to read all of them, but I don't think there is a way to find them via search.

There's always something like this in shows with immortal beings or time travelers. They meet a descendant that is the same age or older than they look.

What I have written there sounds very odd, though…of course it is not "more entertaining". It's not thought-provoking in any way, at least not for me. Not in this show.

Yes, Damon said it multiple times that Silas will be a witch. I am just going to stop, now.
I give up on understanding this show. You do the theories, I just sit back and watch.

She was not only not taking any money from that one customer, she was also paying her, instead. Not sure if it was explicitly said, but it suggests that she is her descendant.

Yeah, it's kind of obvious that one of them was abused at some point…that still doesn't make it more entertaining for me, personally. I guess I have to respect it, though.

Hmmm. On the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (I think?) she said that Lange was her idol and they met on the show. You can find appearances by Lange and Paulson on YouTube.
(I sort of doubt it was on Craig, because they mostly talk about nothing in particular, but you should see it, anyway. She's awesome (although

A couple days ago I stopped and wondered why we are calling it a Manotaur, too…

Spaulding hugging the scarecrow…wasn't that an Edward Scissorhands reference? When he is standing on a ladder trimming a high bush into the shape of a dinosaur or something? That's what it reminded me of, no matter if it happened or not.
The "scissorhands" could be the razor blade. Foreshadowing?

As you know, I re-watched episode 3 today and regarding my theory that Quetsiyah faked Amara's death, there was something she said that seems to give it away? Or am I not getting something, again?

I know you most likely cannot see the other responses if you came here by a notification, but the issue is settled, thanks. I re-watched episode 3, because I missed far too much the first time.

Ah, right, there's also the credits to avoid…
It's funny, sometimes I manage to not look at the credits. I would certainly have known she "dunnit" if I had seen her name pop up.

Thanks! Also missed that they were already confirmed as Travelers…yeah, it sounds like I would benefit from re-watching as I am missing a whole lot. Can't keep up with all the info being dumped on me. Sorry.

Yet, you are right about the Eureka moments. They were especially annoying on House. Not many procedurals are that overt about them.

Columbo is a popular exception. Most of the time not only we know who has done it, but he also "knows" and needs to find a way to prove it.
That's an entirely different approach, though.
