Sevigny destroys this role. Rarely seen someone turn such ridiculous material into so much win.

Do you think those are Mason's arms on the boat?

Yes, good catch! I re-watched several parts of this episode and I believe you are right. Well, the nod and the expression on Chaplin's face combined.  Speedman also appears to signal that he caught Braugher's subtle nod. All of that just through the look on his face, so maybe I interpret too much into it.

"I wish I could say Daisy Betts was his equal in these scenes, but it does sometimes seem like Patrick is delivering his lines to a brick wall."
I disagree. Like…a lot. She is supposed to act dismissive of the COB, if that's what you mean. She also repeatedly gets these corny early-Unit-like lines that she couldn't

To this and every other comment on this thread (I don't even have to read them):
This has never made sense past Blink. If it even made sense, there. Moffat piled rules up on those Angels until internal logic had to break. First and foremost the definition of "who is looking at the Angels". They stand for centuries in

Yes. "Amelia's Last Farewell" was the last chapter. But "Death at Winter Quay" was the one before that one. Maybe he could have guessed the twist.

I read that with emphasis on "tiniest" and "little". And that on a re-watch. You so tough.
Hey, I was actually sobbing. I'll miss those Ponds or Williams or whatever. I get that "little mistiness" in my eye even as I write this…

You could argue the Doctor was sad for Amy's loss…

No. The Doctor says that he will not be able to see them again, because they are in "fixed time". I suppose that means that the past in which they are living is inaccessible to the TARDIS. However, the future from POV of Amy and Rory obviously ends up being our present or else the book won't be there.

One third of the population dying never felt that small before. But I interpreted the entire episode as told by Amy and just assumed she exaggerated for dramatic effect.
Enjoyed the character work in this episode too much to worry about the plot, to be honest.

Not sure if watching one of the worst episodes of NuWho is enough to make your mind up on the RTD era.
