@ Mr. Greene: "TOOOODAY….I HEAR THE ROBINS SING…."

KHET here in Honolulu, Hawaii (local PBS affiliate). Of course, I was a wee lad and understood only the physical comedy in Python at the time. It wasn't until MTV started showing Monty Python that I truly came into my endearing love of their absurd comedy, and appreciation for all hilarious absurdity ever since (Mr.

That DVD cover for "The Last Starfighter"
…has far better CGI than the movie.

Wasn't the whole point of Burn After Reading to give the audience a big 'meh' intentionally?

Yeah, if you look carefully in the giant Galactus cloud in the FF movie near the end when the Silver Surfer fights Galactus, you can see outlines of the actual Galactus head (squinting probably necessary).

"Knew him??? HE WAS DELICIOUS!!!"

"Everytime you fail to answer a question, I cut off a finger."

Have you actually seen this version of Spector recently:

The guy who played the good senator in "300" and the evil gun corporatist Hammersley in "Shoot 'Em Up"? Here? My head swimmeth from the wide berth of role variety!

Iron Man
Loved it, but couldn't watch one scene with Bridges in it and thinking "Hey man, why is his thinking so uptight? He should just do a J and kick back with a nice frosty Caucasian in his hand….oh wait."

Rachel McAdams
She's like, totally cute.

There is no spoon.

Joaquin Phoenix Redux

I mean, check out his next flick Funny People. Not much of a laugh from the trailer, and I'm worried this will turn out to be Apatow's Me, Myself, and Irene in terms

BTW, you know what's a really good avant-gard(ish) film?
Der Lauf Der Dinge.

I finally watched Southland Tales.
I don't know if it fits the avant-garde bill, but it sure as hell hurt my puzzler like one.

Adam…
"Adam quickly devolves into a standard-issue romance with an oppressive score that goes overboard with the tremblingly earnest piano tinkling"

I'm not arguing that you with you, Nabin.

"You bring hope as if you were handing out candy"
To be honest, The Postman is one of my cinematic secret crushes. Seen it about ten times (Olivia Williams is boo-tiful).
