I really think Dushku gets a lot of undeserved flack for Dollhouse, not because she was great (she wasn't) but because she really did have the most underwritten roles to play. In theory, she was supposed to be playing a different person every week but arguably most of the imprints fell under the "tough but vulnerable

Leaving out Tudyk for a minute: The season 1 finale you mentioned also had her and Amy Acker playing the same character. Acker literally had one scene as that character and she was fucking terrifying. Dushku had the rest of the episode, and she was the least threatening villain of the season.

True, but it's not like "Cougar Town" has a cougar.

Which would be which, though?

Sorry about the strokes and nervous collapses I brought on. I normally love pandas, Lucille Bluth and Violet Grantham. I do not however love Daniel Gillies. Get over it.

I would love Elijah if he were played by another actor. But I truly think Daniel Gillies is the only weak link of the Vampire Diaries ensemble and hate the perpetually smug expression he has plastered all over his face. Elijah is awesome though.

Finally a great episode. I've missed those:

I'm not ashamed to confess that having Kol seduce Jeremy and then fall for his prey would redefine awesomeness for me.

Yeah, be careful. Put too much faith in me and I might lure you into the movie and leave you there. Next thing you know, you'll be getting in line for "Dark Shadows"…

"Mirror Mirror" has guilty pleasure written all over it, and I'll admit that I do want to see Roberts playing the wicked stepmother as a drama queen going through midlife crisis but Lily Collins inspires irrational levels of hate in me. She clearly can't act but having caught a couple of interviews with her, she also

What I really don't get is why the judges tend to pit contestants against each other because they're "different". Shouldn't it be the other way around? I mean, assuming that they actually want to win this thing, wouldn't their odds be better if they assembled the most eclectic team they could get? It would make so

Agreed about Erin. She's inconceivably annoying on every level.

And just when Lip came so close to reverting to the awesome character he was last year, they had to ruin everything by having him yell at Fiona. It's a shame that they've misused his character so much this year but that was the final blow right there. The fact that he tried to lecture Fiona on how to run the home he

Yeah, the episode sucked but Carl in jail and Fiona's last scene destroyed me. Can they just go ahead and give Rossum the Emmy? She's the best thing about this show, and one of the best actors on TV right now, period.

I completely agree. I do believe that eventually they'll try to connect the dots and present a cohesive end to the season (and, like you, I'm hoping that the last few episodes will be as strong as the first batch of Season 3) but they definitely wrote themselves into a corner with Klaus and, to a lesser extent, Elijah.

The thing that I've been missing this year is a season-encompassing arc: Season One had the Founders' Council and Season Two had the Sun and Moon Curse. But this season has been all over the map: The original family, Klaus's hybrids, the ghosts, the serial killer / rings storyline, Stefan's addiction issues, whatever

Well said. Blake does seem less likable this year (his "All-American Guy" thing felt so much more natural last season, whereas now he comes off like he's trying way too hard to distinguish himself from the other coaches) but I would have been willing to look past that had he shown that insufferable little sociopath

McPhee's perfectly fine. The son was, like you said, terrible but she hasn't been bad at all so far. She's just playing the naive, wide-eyed newcomer as exactly that. Her character doesn't require a lot of range or subtext, so we haven't yet seen what she's actually capable of.

Agreed. He's terrible and he only seems to be around to create forced conflict. And I third the need to punch that smug, self-satisfied expression out of his face.
