Hell yes! I want that last sentence to be emailed daily to every tv network exec until they get the point.

I'm just going to assume that Polar rushed to go watch the pilot and forgot to write a comment.

If you're supposed to be the world's best intelligence agency, and terrorists manage to not just park a bomb next to your building, but also successfully blow it up, there would definitely be some calls for your head.
Kenneth Parcell's done something right!
I thought the "With great power…" was a little clunky, though not as clunky as "origin story," but I was really happy with the nod to Journey Into Mystery. If they keep the comics easter eggs to subtle deep cuts like that, I'll be okay.
As much as I like the idea of live action MODOK, I can't imagine how they'd do that on a tv budget. We'll see.
Yup, Fitz sung the first lines of "Heigh Ho" just before deploying the robots. So, the fact that one was named "Bashful" indicates the rest are named after the other dwarves.
The thing I liked about the climactic confrontation was that it touched on the question of "What does it means to be a "civilian" in a world filled with superheroes, gods and monsters?" Damn freeloaders.
Now now, if someone was wearing an Amalgam Comics Spiderboy shirt, then they really would be a nerd.

Oh, this'll be a fun comments section.
Mid-October it is then!
Liquid sex!
I personally wasn't as big on the pilot as most folks around here, though I agree that a lot of the characters are already nicely formed and the tag was excellent and that this show has promise.
But in all seriousness, if we could find a way to "Star Wars: Special Editions" Mickey Rooney's performance out of Breakfast At Tiffany's, I would actually consider it a classic.
Damage Control is one of my favorite comic book concepts. I would love a Damage Control sitcom.
