I know what you mean about the Frou Frou album, many of the tracks weren't for me. *However* my favourite song on the album happened to be a bonus track which apparently wasn't on the US version: a very understated, whispery ballad called "Old Piano". I still listen to it regularly over a decade later:

But if the vocabulary is better - then Empire doesn't deserve the effort it took to write the review! (that was my point)

I feel the reviewer's repeated criticism of "My Everything" is a little unjust. Some of the best songs on that album weren't even released as singles, which I think was a misstep by the label

Given her now near-skeletal frame, the phrase "I'd bone" just sounds wrong on all kinds of levels …

"Garden State" may have been a flawed film, but I'm forever grateful to it for introducing me to lots of artists through its amazing soundtrack - including Frou Frou - and by extension Guy Sigsworth and Imogen Heap.
