@avclub-ad93b7ce8ab84b267ec3b64b4daba00f:disqus , faced with your twisted and unimpeachable logic, my head just exploded.
I agree; the main strength of the show is that the audience is just as confused as Michael. I think the key will be for them to confine the show to Mike's viewpoint as much as possible, so that the audience won't start to construct realities based on the experiences of other characters. I think it would spell…
World events outside Mike's own experiences haven't come into play that much…are election results and super bowl winners always the same in both worlds? Mike seems too preoccupied to care about these things for now, but perhaps later down the line…
"do we even know which world comes first since it seems like he doesn't skip a day in either world?"
Yeah…I was wondering about that. In effect , Mike's life has become twice as long too (assuming he ages independently in both worlds.) A 10 day work week with a 4-day weekend tacked on sounds exhausting.
Also, are we…
I tend to forgive lapses in logic if they lead to an elaborate chase scene. You can tell, I grew up watching a lot of Scooby-Doo…
Castle (to Beckett): "Weird, we're usually more in sync than that."
I was under the impression that Beckett figured out Castle loved her in Season 3, when they went to L.A. Then, in the season 3 finale, when they had their little non-lovers quarrel in Beckett's apartment, I concluded that Beckett was annoyed at Castle primarily because he wouldn't admit his feelings.
My gut reaction is to agree with you Dogstyle Afternoon.
I am only reserving judgment since according to the hype, the finale is supposed to be designed with shippers in mind.
So, I am hoping they will finally put this relationship angst to rest, and the season cliffhanger will involve either Castle or Beckett getting…
This show has traditionally been a a blend of comedic and dramatic elements, and I think that most viewers tune in for a bit of both…assuming they aren't die-hard shippers.
I don't think the writers view the comedic parts of Castle as "filler", or we would be be seeing even less comic relief from Castle than we are…
I couldn't hate that scene, since it was Castle being Castle.
I'm probably just a big softie, but I can't bring myself to despise the show just yet. Despite its flaws, I still enjoy Castle more than a lot of other police-procedurals. If they extricate C&B from their current emotional rut, I think they can begin season 5 in a good place.
I wouldn't want this season to be the…
Judging by the promo, in the next episode Castle will follow Adam Baldwin's character around, since he figures he needs a new "muse". He will get beat up in the process and realize he is better off returning to his loveless marriage..er I mean non-relationship with Beckett.
The real question is whether Ryan & Esposito…
If the writers punch up the dialogue, resolve the secret-keeping angst, and brighten up the moody lighting, the show could easily get back the playfulness of earlier seasons.
Yeah, Hunt was a little too squeaky-clean for my tastes.
He was also rather ineffective for one of Scotland Yard's finest. Castle probably could have swiped the British diplomat's glass with finesse, and come across as a more convincing Homeland Security Officer.
^ That was my favorite moment of the episode.
I think Stana Katic did reasonably well considering the material she
was given. Her vulnerability came through in her brief chat with Lanie,
and she seemed both troubled and perplexed in the few quick moments she
was able to interact with Nathan Fillion.
Eh, you're right.
I think I just wanted Beckett to suffer more than she did.
I was expecting them to use the traditional method of enhancing fuzzy images until they found the guilty party.
Castle was cranky but he didn't derail the investigation any more than he usually does. After hearing Beckett's secret, he briefly ran off to tell his mom, but then came straight back and solved the case as per usual.
