If you were to ask me on any given day if I'd rather watch BWP again (which does hold up to repeat viewings, as does in my estimation the first two Paranormal Activity films), I'd pick BWP every time, and quite possibly multiple weeks in a row. In fact, I'd actually rather watch Jurassic Park 3 than Jurassic Park,

I'm the same age as you but was living in Indianapolis and Tucson in the 90s. I probably saw less than half in a movie theater.

Not a fan of animated films, so no desire to see TS2. Also not a fan of Kieslowski (couldn't make it through even a third of Double Life of Veronique and thought Blue was painfully slow) but have been told that Red is the best of the three, so I probably will get around to them eventually.

When you strip out the genre mashing, the references/homages/swipes to/from other films — you're not left with  very much in a Tarantino film. They feel less like films to me

I watched BWP last Halloween and it is still very creepy. It plays the actors' actual confusion and terror very well, and the use of the witch's icons rather than actual presence is deft. I would rather watch it for an entire year than watch Jurassic Park once.

Actually, I miscounted — I've seen 44. The ones I haven't:

Take it from a professor — no he's not the student who properly cites everything and gets an A+ every time. He's the student who won't shut up, thinks he knows more than everyone else, and mistakes clever references for an actual argument.

43/50, which isn't too bad I guess. But the Top 10 doesn't have any films I really love. Pulp Fiction should be on here if for no other reason than its influence, but Reservoir Dogs is probably one of my least favorite films ever, and Rushmore is too precious (which means it sure is a Wes Anderson film).

In my experience, the people who think DaC is a great film think of high school as the best years of their lives. So it's for Wooderson and those who wish they could be Wooderson.

The opening short-film about the dybbuk is terrific, the rest slightly meandering.
