I am worried about this being a film in general… the novel's structure seems impossible to do justice to in one 2-3 hour piece. I had been hoping that HBO would take a chance on adapting it as a miniseries with each episode being one of the "books" in the novel, but that was probably silly on my part.

Exactly. I'm still trying to figure out how "The Gong Show is being dropped by affiliates for obscene stunts like judge Jaye P. Morgan flashing her breasts, or the pair of fetching young ladies licking popsicles in a loving recreation of fellatio. Barris is speeding headfirst into a work-induced nervous breakdown, but…

He also got kicked over by Catwoman. I'd say it's inconsistent characterization at least.

I noticed how slowly the timer seemed to move during the truck chase sequence (seriously, it seems stuck at 11:00 for about five minutes of screen time) then counts down from 5:00 to detonation in sixty seconds or so.

Yeah, I am willing to overlook the ones in Dark Knight, though the Joker's apparently unlimited supply of oil drums bothered me then too… just not enough to take me out of the movie.

No, Harv, I don't need to be spoonfed everything. But when Wayne goes from barely able to walk with a cane to sporting a painful brace that allows him to kick through brick walls to able to apparently walk back from fucking Asia — that's a plot hole. But I am really glad you liked the film so much its logical gaps…

Wow. Just wow. And bad wow. This is a pretty bad movie. On the good side: Hardy is incredible as Bane, achieving a lot with just his eyes and posture (plus that creepy, almost nondiegetic voice), and the prison pit was well done. Other than that, the movie was full of ridiculous plot holes — Daggert or whatever his…

If it's Alfred's fantasy, why is Selina Kyle in it?

God, this movie is atrocious, but I actually stuck it out by pretending it was a comedy.
