I still think the soundtrack is pretty good. It is full of good songs, although better than half of them are by bands not otherwise worth your time, which actually makes the soundtrack pretty handy.

Yeah, give them credit for trying new things, but the hard fact is that this album just ain't as catchy as I like hearing from Japandroids. Or maybe it is the energy — Brian King isn't straining his vocal chords on every track like usual, which will probably make touring easier.
