True, but that Monkees album came out two years earlier and is generally considered the first use of the Moog on a pop/rock album. Micky Dolenz saw one of the first ones built being demonstrated at the Monterey Pop Festival, and bought it on the spot.

Should've added Billy Joel. He played a Moog on his 1974 (minor) hit single "The Entertainer," but didn't really dive into synths until 1980's Glass Houses album, where synths are prominent on several tracks

You would be wrong.

First, thanks for reporting this. I am very much looking forward to seeing it (And just happen to have a fine GD show from 10/2/1980 — acoustic first set from the Warfield Theatre — playing as I type this).

Simon's conclusion was "Five words: You Don't Bring Me Flowers." He's probably right.

I am not aware of Neil being an influence on Billy Joel (and I am a huge Billy fan). If you want to say Neil was a Tin Pan Alley songwriter, having worked in the Brill Building, and that some of that comes out in Billy's songs, I guess that case could be made.

Neil's sales and chart success from the late 60s-early 80s are more than enough to justify Neil for the Hall. Add in what a monster concert draw he's been from the 70s all the way to the present, and there should be little argument.

That scream wasn't bad at all, given his arm was completely ripped off of him.

Doesn't matter. Guy picked a dud. He was good in Rogue One though.

If I were doing Cancellation League, this would be my top pick. Looks fucking terrible.

Biased calls. Like the one where Davtante Adams was clearly held — with his shoulder pad popping out of his jersey — but no flag was thrown.

If it helps, sales of March have apparently skyrocketed since Trump's typical display of arrested development (and lack of knowledge of American history).

Lewis is, indeed, a real life superhero.

A lot of people apparently think "pussy grabbing" is acceptable behavior now, based on the election. That doesn't mean they're not assholes too.

I fear for the criminal justice system if it's all made up of assholes like you.

I know all the Treks are on Netflix, but I wish got that channel.

I haven't seen the episode yet (Why the hell did PBS change the start time? Wasn't going to miss the Packers beating Dallas), so I'm avoiding the spoilers, but "and they made it all about Sherlock again" is a criticism? Hasn't it always been about him (and Watson) and shouldn't it be?

No wonder I mostly stopped paying attention to new music (Anything that would make the Top 40 at least) sometime in the early 90s. Blecch! Rock & Roll was truly dead, or at least on life support.

THANK YOU. All the Packer hate (Even from our other resident Badger?) here yesterday was grating on me.

Is there ever?
