Once again, The Monkees (who I honestly thought had a shot given their wonderful new album and other 50th anniversary stuff) and Joe Cocker get passed over.

Flowers in the Dirt needed to stop with track 10, but it's a damned great album for those first 10 songs.

Incidentally, while Leonard's own version is good I think Billy Joel's cover of it is stellar. Leonard himself called it one of his favorite versions of his own songs:
