Remember that time one of your comments got over 10 dislikes? That was amazing.

I love how, at the end of the commentary track for The Darjeeling Limited, some guy calls Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola to pitch an idea for a TV show, and they record that entire conversation.

They did a pretty good job with the subtitles, I thought, with even the intertitles earning an English translation. The one problem was that it only subtitled things written or spoken in French, so if you wanted to know what someone said in German or Arabic, for example, then you were out of luck.

You'd think a movie with an amazing title like that would be so bad it's good. But it wasn't. It was just bad.

Netflix finally has it available for renting on DVD!

My February first-time viewings:

Young Girls of Rochefort > Umbrellas of Cherbourg

Not sure. I've only listened to one version of the score (this one).

The Third Man
The Red Shoes
Man with a Movie Camera
City Lights
Grand Illusion

The latest episode of Firewall & Iceberg praised it a lot, so yes.

I don't see what the big deal is. He's just gonna be found again two years later in the form of a child…right?

Boyhood and The Grand Budapest Hotel losing Best Picture is probably the best things to happen to those movies, to be honest. Also, The Grand Budapest Hotel tying for most wins is not a bad consolation.

My favorite part is the parenthesis!

Pawlikowski defeated the wrap-up music, too!

Yay, first Oscar win for Poland!

It's adorable.

Judging by the amount of time it took her to get to the podium, the Grand Budapest Hotel costume designer doesn't.

He seems to be going for the Starstruck Fan approach tonight. It's working for him so far.

Never heard of it.
