I'm just shocked how fast they put Terry into the ground (especially as this episode is only, what, 48-72 hours after the events of last season).

That stuff would happen about 1 out of every 7 or 8 trips to me. Not enough to bug me. But I log the movies I see in the theater (yeah, I'm weird like that). In 2008, I saw 40+ movies in the theater, but I was living in San Fran and had access to a lot of indie and cheap theaters. So far this year, it's three. Partly

But does it end with 10 Heads in a Duffle Bag?

Fuck you, ABC Family.

Whoah, whoah, whoah, that's Stacy Haiduk????? Ugh, I had such the crush on her on SeaQuest.

I like how Terry finds the most hardcore ex-military dude he knows to make sure he won't see it coming (which hardcore ex-military dude promises), and then it ends up being a goddamn neck wound where he spends forever bleeding out.

Slightly OT, but Seattle-rock related, but did anyone else catch that NY Times profile last week on Jason Everman, the guy who was kicked out of both Nirvana and Soundgarden, and then joined the Army and the Special Forces and was one of the guys on horseback who took down the Taliban. Then he was in the lead assault

Bill Nye the Science Guy was a creation of Almost Live, alongside Mind Your Manners with Billy Quan.

The NY Times piece on the making of this movie was amaaaaaaazing. Lohan is such a train wreck, yet the way she manipulated TPTB on this movie was a hoot.

I always liked this monstrosity

I loved Taylor Schilling in Mercy, and I'm someone who felt that Mercy was on the verge of capturing what was great about early Grey's Anatomy, but without much of the inherent sappiness/silliness of the latter. It starts off a bit rough, but it really catches on once Van Der Beek shows up, and the show was firing on

Neeson gets some flack for taking up so many action roles in recent years, but people forget that he was completely gutted after his wife (Natasha Richardson) was killed in that freak skiing accident. Afterward, he threw himself into every role he could get in order to keep busy.

You do have to wonder what Clooney must think when he watches Nolan's take on Batman. "Goddamnit, that is what I wanted."

That should be his campaign slogan. And on his lawn signs.

Recently saw this for the first time in over 20 years. The movie has aged badly (and it was incredibly sappy/corny/hammy to begin with), but Rickman just throws himself in the role, especially in the finale as he's trying to get married before Robin kicks in the door.

Did you see the Life's Too Short finale on Saturday?

We have Ron Howard to thank now that we have to utter the phrase "Oscar Winner Akiva Goldsman." The man was Lindelof before Lindelof. I actively avoided a movie once I found out Akiva wrote it.

I was secretly hoping that D&D would have been daring and gone after Idris Elba, who, despite having a hot film career, still finds time for TV (Luther, anyone?) and has famously worked for HBO before.

Man, Elio's head must be exploding at this point. God knows how the man takes any enjoyment in anything. By his standards, the TV show is an unholy abomination.
