I mentioned this in the Die Hard 5 trailer thread but it was a few days late, so I'll repeat it here: Sean Connery turned down the role of Hans Gruber's father in Die Hard With a Vengeance because he didn't want to play a villain. So they rewrote the part and brought in Jeremy Irons, which is a pretty good tradeoff.…
