Do we know for a fact that he and Joan are boning? I prefer to believe that he is as deep in the Friend-Zone as any man has ever been or will be.

Was I the only one here who thought they botched this sequence? It felt sterile, by-the-numbers. Sure, the band played the song, but they played it all pretty-like, and although Frey promised a raucous reception, every moment in the Twins (excepting the actual massacre) was oddly muted. And not muted as in portentous

Had to hunt for an Ellen mention. Kudos to you @avclub-2d0cca95ad6a2061d208d765e79af478:disqus and a pox on the rest of you!

I don't think it's uncool to love that song. As others are saying, that single was one of the few bright spots in the waning days of Modern Rock radio. Or at least, Modern Rock radio as I grew up with it. No idea what's going on over there now, and no desire to find out.

Yeah, I suppose I'm reacting to the general atmosphere that has surrounded conversations about the show this year. So many well-meaning book readers telling the newbies to STAY AWAY from comment sections all over the internet and so forth. When I read the books, I had no idea that they were particularly spoilable, so

He's playing dumb. Not saying that he shouldn't for the sake of the newbies, but he has to know more than he's letting on. For the first two seasons, this show has followed the Wire model (probably didn't originate with the Wire, but that's what I'm familiar with): Throw a bunch of crazy shit at the viewer in the

Mom?

I am shocked that there isn't already a huge outcry over the idea that the TV show might be allowed to overtake the books. Sure hope that one is coming.

I've had "Recently" in regular rotation myself. Music From the Adventures of Pete and Pete, even without the fond associations with the show, would still be among my favorite albums.

I hope Don gets one from the doctor whose wife he's sleeping with.

What's the deal with heart transplants?

I only watch movies for the tits and the 'splosions, and I only read reviews for the snark and the comments.

Time to put the old bitch down.

But he genuinely loved The Odd Life of Timothy Green! Though maybe this just makes your point stronger.

Even though this made me laugh, I fixed it.
