I feel bad for this poor, dumb child. His ignorance of phonics has been broadcast to the world.

I don't know if I would call it clever. The joke is not very funny, but it's also not very offensive. At worst, it's slightly off color.

I'm of the opinion that "The Gift" is a major misstep on White Light/White Heat. It's an amusing track after the first listen or so, but there's really not enough there to justify listening to it each time you put on the album. It pretty quickly becomes filler, which is a shame because the rest of that album is

As an insult, I recently compared Bleachers's music to Fun. I think I said something along the lines of, Bleachers is cheese rock that's going to be forgotten in a year or so just like that band Fun. But until now I had no clue that the lead singer of Bleachers is actually a member of Fun. You learn something new

You're telling me you wouldn't have a go at Michelle Obama? What are you, a goddamn communist?!

So are we back to thinking this is North Korea? Also, sending threatening messages like this does not sound like the work of a group who's guarding peace. Their name is completely misleading.

The trailers were more than a bit misleading. But it ended being a lot better than I expected, so I didn't mind the bait and switch.

It is surprising how much torture is shown on television. The first season of Agents of SHIELD had a number of torture scenes.

Stephen Seagal is absolutely right that Al Gore ripped him off, though. Whenever I describe the final minutes of On Deadly Ground to someone who hasn't seen it, their immediate reaction is, "Holy shit, Al Gore stole from Stephen Seagal!"

People aren't paying as much attention to it, but much like Matthew McConaughey, Jean Claude Van Damme has also been going through a bit of a renaissance recently. There was the meta, actor playing himself role in JCVD, the thoroughly wonderful and strange Universal Soldier movies, and of course that commercial with

No.

The Forrest Gump soundtrack was essentially the musical equivalent of the entirety of the Baby Boomer generation collectively patting themselves on the back.

Somehow I'm not feeling sorry for him.

Are you trying to say that we can't expect a Jingle All the Way 2 review from the A.V. Club?

This will be delightfully inoffensive.

I'm kind of mixed here. Creed is just the nadir of the post-grunge slush that clogged up the airwaves at the end of the 90s. I listened to some of that terrible post-grunge crap back then, and even I hated Creed. And you're right that this isn't the average Joe dealing with these issues. This guy has had a lot

You're right. The Thrawn Trilogy was a fun, breezy read back in the day when there was little new Star Wars content being produced. But it is hardly the masterpiece some people make it out to be. If they had been made into Episodes 7 though 9, then I think a lot of people would be disappointed.

This is just further evidence that James Cameron plagiarized Avatar from 1970s spray paint van art.

The "good news" that opens this article is very misleading. The only good news that could possibly come out of this project is if it were cancelled altogether. This is more like mediocre news.

Vest is best / Put your velociraptors to the test.
