It's instructive to compare this review with AV Club's review of Kanye West's Yeezus. They gave that album an A- and barely mentioned West's treatment of women in his lyrics. I liked what West did on Yeezus sonically, but that album is far more misogynous than the recent Black Keys.

I think it's safe to say that the Black Keys backlash has officially begun.

Well, I'm out. No Wedge, no deal, JJ Abrams!

I don't really expect an apology, and I like some moments in The Lost World (Pete Postlethwaite's character is great, and dual T-Rex attack is another great set piece from Spielberg). It's just that's how he structured his statement.

In other words, "sorry/not sorry, bro!"

It still amazes me that The Critic foresaw talking dinosaurs in the JP franchise before the second film had even been released.

No.

I actually really liked the original SLC Punk when I was a kid. I'm kind of afraid to revisit it though.

"The fact that anyone was laughing on a grunge record was almost as novel as using a string section."

And I though I couldn't love these two more!

I think claiming Tonto was a rip off of Nobody is a little extreme, considering Tonto was a mostly physical performance where Nobody was actually rather chatty. I do think the opening scene in Lone Ranger is an homage to Dead Man. Of course, there are a large number of allusions spread throughout that film.

So what? I honestly could care less about what the movie going public thinks about a given film, actor, director, etc. I'm more interested in seeing unique, interesting films and performances. If the general public has turned on Depp, then he'll just go back to making smaller films, which is fine by me.

Thank you for this article. Anytime there's a news story about Johnny Depp, you can be certain that the comments section will be filled with the same tired condemnations. Sure, some of his recent films haven't been very good, like Transcendence apparently. But you can't place that all on Depp's shoulders. I would

This was an easy target. Even as a kid, I remember hating this song, and I had no taste whatsoever. But at least Coogan is funny, which is more than I can say about most of the Hatesong participants.

I still don't own a smart phone. Take that, the future!

I remember reading some Dark Horse Boba Fett comics that were fun. Of course, Fett wasn't really the focus, even though the comics bore his name. Most of the comic books read like little short stories about the criminal underworld in the Star Wars universe, and Fett served as a sort of Grim Reaper. Some of the

This is certainly accurate, but I think opinions will vary as to whether it's to the film's detriment or advantage.

But it is strange that Glover's so bad at writing rap lyrics. He was a writer for 30 Rock, so he's obviously a creative and talented guy, at least at some point he was.

I really love Breaking Bad, but I think Mad Men rewards sustained engagement in a way that show doesn't. They're both fantastic but for different reasons. It's no surprise that a period drama about life, death, and the eventual downward trajectory of America isn't as popular as a crime thriller about meth. (I'm

Presumably little flaws in the production, like the camera falling onto his driveway in the beginning, have happened from time to time in Truman's life. He doesn't question them, because they are a natural part of the world he is living in. It's all a part of the film's version of Plato's Allegory of the Cave.
