Great interview. Weller's been the highlight of a number of films, including Star Trek into Darkness. I'm glad to see he has been having something of a…Renaissance lately.

That was actually pretty fantastic. Who knew? (Except for Captcha Reader, of course)
I wouldn't even buy that for a dollar.
"Like Rambo, some part of us will always be fighting that war."
I made this comment in the Palo Alto preview thread, but it bears repeating: why does nearly half of all films that deal with teacher/student relationships involve an illicit tryst? Sure, this stuff happens, and art should engage with it, but not to the extent where this narrative takes over a massive portion of all…
I'm completely shocked that the Lilly white commenters at The AVClub are taking offense to the racial observations of Dave Chappelle. I wonder why this is?
Many nightmares have ended with Debra Morgan emphatically whining the name "Dexter!"
In her defense, somehow everyone on that show manages to be the worst.
So we're trying to resuscitate the reputation of Ghosts of Mars now? I never got the memo. The movie isn't a complete waste, but with the exception of a few clever or funny moments, it's kind of a slog to get through.
I'm kind of sick of the teacher sleeps with his student storyline. It seems like it has to be shoehorned into every other movie about high school. Sure, stuff like this happens, but not with the frequency that Hollywood apparently believes it does.
For some reason I LOVE how condescending Matt Damon is in this interview.
This review is really going against the grain with its C+ grade. I'm pretty surprised, since just about everyone else is going crazy over this album. I haven't spent enough time with it to really make up my mind. Still, nice to hear a minority opinion.
It also seems as if older people are more and more often trying to chase down mass pop culture for teens. It makes it look like these older people are "with it." Now, there are some great artists in their late teens and early twenties who are genuinely talented, but let's be honest, they don't get major record…
That's actually the first time I've heard that song. And it really is terrible. For some reason I thought that Taylor Swift was supposed to be the "talented" pop musician who crafted "serious" music. Kanye should never have apologized.
To this day I am scarred by the ending of Superman III. It's like they spliced a superhero film with a movie by David Cronenberg.
And this is how Brenda Song defends the show:
So no Anne Frank sex tape follow up, then?
I've always sorted rooted for Laura Prepon. As an actress she doesn't have much range, but she's good at playing the tomboy character. And somehow she's the second least successful person to come out of That 70s Show (sorry Fez). Even Ashton Kutcher somehow got to star in a stupid movie about Steve Jobs.
I didn't believe that the quoted Politico commenter was real, so I clicked on the link. And then I made the mistake of actually scrolling through those comments. What the hell is wrong with America? These people are genuinely threatened when the First Lady suggests that kids eat more fruits and vegetables. I think…
I enjoyed both, but you're absolutely right that Casino Royale is the better of the two. But somehow critics went crazy for Skyfall. I think it's mostly because Mendes has better indie credentials than Martin Campbell.
