Yeah, this is what bothered me most about this episode.  I'm actually willing to suspend my disbelief about the terrorist storm troopers, but Carrie falling into Brody's arms and sobbing was just stupid.  She has good reason to think he might have had something to do with that attack, so why the hell would she believe

Hey, I was totally kidding when I said c-sections sound less barbaric to me; I know it's major abdominal surgery with a huge risk of complications, which is what I said. I also know women who have had complications. My (hyperbolic and, in retrospect, insensitive) point was simply that either method of childbirth

Yes, they do, because I know there are a lot of women who take enormous pride in natural childbirth, and homebirths, and get all angry at any suggestion of any sort of medical "intervention," and other crazy shit. I don't have kids and don't think I want them, but I've got lots of opinions, and my uninformed opinion

Well, I'm not sure why some people are upset with your viewpoint—since, as you say, the reason we all so loved T-Dogg was rooted in the fact that he was an incredibly poorly developed and patently obvious token black character.  So the fact that, rather than develop him, the show simply killed him off?  It pissed me

@avclub-589622fb3974db41fbe4a37b78d8585c:disqus  Yeah, I thought that was nuts.  Maggie said "Carl!" when he said he couldn't do it, as if she were chastising him for refusing to brush his teeth or something.  Why couldn't she simply hand the baby to Carl and spare him the trauma of blowing his mother's head off?

Oh, I didn't mean to imply that you should have known about decapitation!  Now that I think of it, I'm sure I'd never heard of it or considered it before then; I just remember being so utterly shocked that such a thing could happen. And to a kid like me. Hell, I probably didn't realize kids could even die until

I think many of us would love it if Walking Dead were even remotely like Breaking Bad or Mad Men, with nuanced acting and profound character moments and beautiful writing.  The problem is that this show has been trying to achieve some kind of profundity on that level—trying to tell human stories in a zombie

Yeah, I'm pretty surprised not to be as enthralled as everyone else too, since I'm such a fan of most of the other critically acclaimed and AVC commenter-approved shows.  It's simply a matter of opinion and personal taste and all that, of course, but Homeland just isn't remotely as good as Breaking Bad and Mad Men are

Oh shit, I have the exact same memory!  Although I couldn't have been more than four, I never forgot that it was called Adam because it scared the hell out of me. I shuddered whenever I thought of it or saw John Walsh on something for years.  I think I already figured that severing your head would kill you, but I
