Holy shit that site is awful.  Its rule about "no talking about the boards on the boards" actually encourages such awfulness; because nobody can call out other posters for being assholes or idiots, assholes and idiots converge there.  Against my better judgment, I went there last night, too, and it was as I expected:

So much insight from a Well-Pounded Vag.

That made me laugh and laugh.  I had to rewind it to see it again.  I can't even explain it, except that it was both hilariously random and hilariously true-to-life.  (I was once having a serious conversation about some terribly important subject only to look out the car window and see horses doin' it.  Which is even

It wasn't unheard of for a single woman to raise a child, but it was very rare.  My mother was sent to a "home for unwed mothers" in 1969.  There was one (or more) in every city.  Her family really are the kind you'd think really wouldn't "care what people thought," but they sent her there anyway, presumably because

I thought Betty freaked out because Sally masturbated "in public"; I mean, that's what she said—that she understood kids do this, but a girl who'd do it in front of somebody else must be "easy" or something.  (Yeah, the other kid was asleep, but the other mother made it sound like Sally was performing for her or

Well yeah, I remember that.  But Roger just vomited right in the middle of the floor in front of everybody.  If he had turned behind a plant and thrown up, I doubt we'd have gotten a closeup of the puddle afterward.  That's my only point; it's not like Sally bled all over the floor or her clothes or something—that

@eric827:disqus You're right, it had to be a calculated costuming choice.  And I did get pretty uncomfortable when I realized how hard I was trying to picture him in his underwear to remember the scene, so good job, show!

Exactly. I get kind of tired of people comparing them, as if liking one means you must tear down the other.  Breaking Bad loyalists call Mad Men boring!  Mad Men loyalists believe Breaking Bad is mindless action!  Both sides are jackasses, because both shows are fucking brilliant.

@eric827:disqus : But he said he was sleeping when she called, not hanging out—so the implication was that he'd been sleeping in his underwear.  Apparently he doesn't have a bathrobe, because he seemed to have put the coat on simply to go take her call.

Well, that's sort of my point: mustaches are considered cool by kids that age.  But developing boobs at 10 or 11 creates a whole host of problems that kids that age aren't prepared for, such as being ogled sexually for the first time. And getting boobs early really does often make girls a target of ridicule by other
