Maybe OWNAGE?
ZMF is still around and posts a lot on The Shield reviews.
It's been that way for years, which has always made it extra, extra hilarious when the AV Club has complained about trolls and general mean comments.
LOL, wut? That sounds unnecessary.
I love Shelby Foote.
That's all.
It's all these new fangled Dickenson dude's fault.
Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh
Wait, Promised Land has a twist?

Elaborating on your second point, I'd say Blomkamp fits in with the likes of Paul Verhoeven where, yeah, he's still making an action flick but it's peppered with some smart, crunchy bits to help it stick to your stomach.

I don't disagree with Dowd's reviews, particularly the grades—because, duh, that's dumb. I disagree with the tone of a lot of his reviews though, which sound like he's looking down his glasses at the film, anyone who would want to see it, and, why the fuck not, anyone who liked the previous work of those involved. He…

I mean, regardless of what bullshit he says, it's clear that he is synthesizing issues in his native country into the language of…
@avclub-71348decaf1df2bb85be2ece24cc2a1d:disqus Pretty much all of his reviews have that. See also his Wolverine review where he shits on 3:10 to Yuma for no discernible reason.
I knew it was coming, and still I said, "Goddamn it."
I really hope it does, but most of the reviews I've seen said the story is little more than "Rich are bad, poor are good, things go boom."
