My roommate drank PBR tallboys around 1988 or so. He would bring a six pack to every party and leave a couple in the fridge. They were so damn bad that no matter how drunk anyone got, his PBR's were always safe.

The differences were jarring for me the first time I read the new version. The one difference I remember the most is the part where Loyd and Freeman are robbing a bar, and someone's brains get blown all over a Budweiser Clydesdale clock.
