I still don't understand this.  Why cast a fairly recognizable actor for a role, explicitly point him out at one point (Quinn asked who he was, right?), and then kill him off without him saying a line?  I just kind of assumed he'd be coming back at some point but I'm not so sure now.

The only thing keeping every episode of this show from being an A in my book is Gyp.  His whole shtick wore itself out after the first episode of the season.
