"The piece also talks about how the hall and the induction ceremony, which airs on HBO, benefit from popular acts. For instance, HBO’s 2014 ceremony featuring Kiss, Hall & Oates and Nirvana drew almost a million viewers, whereas previous ceremonies on Fuse that honored acts like The Platters didn’t even meet Nielsen’s

The perception Wenner and his colleagues hold is is that rap in the 80's was like R&R in the 50's. But honestly, I don't think there will be room for many more rappers in the future. I don't see the gangsta rap generation getting much love from a group of aging boomers, no matter how liberal they are.

How about that they're all good, and that it sucks that two of them aren't in?

The funny thing is I believe the author of the book is still married to the guy Larry is based on, which makes me wonder how much this might veer from the real-life narrative.

I couldn't agree more.

Richard Dreyfuss said when he got the script for Jaws that he couldn't wait to see it in the theater, but didn't take it initially because he knew it would be a laborious production, I get the opposite feeling from Stone's movie, in that it's not great to watch but I bet it was a fucking blast to be around on the set.

I've only missed it when FXX had their Simpsons marathon or VH1 Classic had a huge SNL one.

Porcupine Tree, and anything Steven Wilson has his had his hand in.

Ronnie Van Zant was killed the same way in the plane wreck. If it weren't for that final blow he'd still be alive.

Started Friday morning, finished up Monday morning. It's definitely better as a slow burn.

I'm sort of glad that they killed him off by the end, rather than dragging it out through another season, not unlike what happened with The Killing.

I was more excited to see that Steven Wilson's latest got up to number 39. Sadly it was for just that week and the next was nowhere to be seen.

Been a long time since a rock band had a single in the charts that actually sounded like rock music.

Yeah, and he can be funny too. He stole the "Niccotrel" sketch from everyone.

Maybe it was completed before his death. Still it doesn't satisfy why they might not have something at the end saying he did die, but that's certainly odd that the movie would make some reviewers think that.

There is treatment for it. There was even treatment for it while he was still alive but he refused it because it was after he had done all those surgeries, and just decided to set the clock himself.

Really want to see this one, but will proceed with a little caution before I do thanks to this review.
