I remember that much more than Elba's performance in the film I'm sad to say. It was in a lot of the trailers and TV spots.

Anyone else think of the parrot sketch?

I'm guessing so (the guy shot in broad daylight?). I really didn't see The Wire until about 2009-2010, but I did see the movie fairly soon after it was released so Elba wasn't as noticeable to me then.

Who did he play in American Gangster?

To be fair, some of it was pretty damn hot, if you could look look past those segments. That or some of you weren't patient enough record it on your VCR and fast-forward through it.

96 and 97, great. In 98 you could see the wheels fall off a little but Goldberg pretty much saved that year from what inevitably happened.

Got me there.

You of all people should know what I'm talking about.

Easy, replace the Spaniard character with some wayward Scotsman who teaches our hero swordplay.

I'd love to go to an indie show and hear some bad-ass heel come out to King Crimson's "Red".

Almost thought you meant ELP there.

Fair enough. I actually don't have a whole lot against the movie, but I think it's one of the better soundtracks of all time and that the film isn't at that same level. I've heard for years they've tried to do a remake. What I'd love to see is the main character's backstory shift from Scotland to the Old West.

All I'm saying is that they cast a guy with a thick French accent to play a Scotsman, and they cast Sean Connery as a Spaniard.

And Michael Kamen's score

"Who Wants To Live Forever" is a great song for a mediocre movie. And my favorite Queen song.

To be honest, I should put that comment in every article about TBS. While Nitro was good, it was also the beginning of the end.

I miss WCW.

It could happen, if Stallone applies himself like he did with the last Rocky movie.

Hell, when was the last time Homer wore a suit?

I can understand if it's being "ironic" about the "never forget" attitude people (mostly Republicans, and entirely Fox News) take about 9/11. Otherwise, yeah it's pretty much nothing more than being a dick about it.
