The variations people use for that line here never make me fail to laugh.

Even though I didn't see season 8, even up until I stopped, I always thought he was the best thing about the show.

I think it only looks unkempt because of the light hitting his face, makes it look like he just started shaving it off by himself.

Yeah. Never forget.

Thanks for reminding me why I don't get cable television anymore.

Gilliam had a wonderful tribute to him on Facebook this morning.

I wouldn't be too surprised if HBO does put it out now. I'm sure they'll air it again in some kind of tribute.

Is it just me, or are there are lot of comments that got swallowed up that aren't appearing?

"Hell is what we create on Earth when we fail in loving and honoring one another. I'm convinced that God loves queers, the oppressed, prostitutes, drug addicts, sex addicts, everyone who suffers from crises of faith and those who doubt the existence of God or hope."

My first hint of this news was someone mentioning his hairy hands.

You're absolutely right (though I'd argue that working with Wes Anderson began that new relevance for Murray though). World's Greatest Dad came very close to such a moment for him, though it lacked a more major studio behind it.

I seem to remember reading that CBS still wanted to do something with Robin, so maybe something else was in the works. Bottom line, I don't see how the network could blame him if that was the case.

I totally get where you're coming from. I'd say the majority of music I listen to, was made in the 60's and 70's. It's not a huge majority but it's what I've connected with most. I'm kind of putting off that a lot of these men and women that are still alive are approaching or are already in their golden years. But

I'll need to see it again, but it felt like it covered nearly every aspect of American life back then. Family, sports, drugs/alcohol, sex, fame, politics, art.

That's one I wish would come out on DVD, because it's as much physical as it is what he's saying. The weird thing is though I think the CD has more material than the special did.

We had a copy of his HBO special from the Metropolitan Opera house in the 80's. I found it when I was 11 years old one night, when I started sleeping past my usual bedtime and everyone was asleep. My family was going through a profoundly hard time for reasons I won't get into. I never remembered laughing so hard

I saw the Bosch pilot over the weekend and really, really liked it. So glad they picked it up for series.

I can see George Clooney as the lead in Pixar's Suits.

It was a thread in the St. Vincent trailer article when someone said that 30-40 years ago this would have been a Walter Matthau vehicle.

Well there no way he could have known that at the time unless he knew people who were big-wigs at Chevy which is unlikely. It's still more honorable, in theory, than giving it to Coca-Cola or AT&T.
