Cocaine's a…you know the rest.

Being friends with Dickey Betts is not as easy as it sounds.

I think Murphy's song was a bigger hit, was it not?

I loved it in my teens and early 20's but now that I'm a bit older I'm not sure it would click as well.

I listen to a lot of interview podcasts and usually just skip straight to the interview. The monologues (like on WTF) really don't click with me for some reason. The only exception I can think of is The Tobolowsky Files (of which there's a new one today!), but those are more like books on tape.

That's the one.

People rightly joke about his stab at being a rock star while he was a successful TV star, but he did certainly have some musical chops as a writer.

As a prog rock fan, I'd have to say Jethro Tull. I don't out and out hate them but could just not find a way into liking them.

I remember it too, I seem to also remember seeing a few other people from that show pop up on the various news networks in recent years too.

One of my friends mentioned that he should take over for Jerry Lewis, but honestly Kickstarter should just take over for the telethon.

You win

This actually sounds pretty awesome. Assayas is not a Hollywood hack like the ones De Niro has been collecting checks for, and I'm willing to give Pattinson the benefit of the doubt because he's been doing a lot of interesting projects lately.

Jon was pretty straight-forward about how he idolized Phil like an older brother on his episode of The Nerdist. The amazing thing to me is that Phil basically took on comedy as a lark because he'd already had success as a graphic designer.

I was 14, and it was very sad, strange and horrifying. For anyone around that age (not having lived through Lennon's death), pre-9/11 isolated incidents like that seemed all the more shocking.

I really liked The District.

It could (and I'm sure has) be argued that his death was the first nail in the coffin of The Simpsons' glory days.

Odenkirk almost being pissed off was nice.

Yup, and now he's a truly loose cannon.

Because when I listen to The Doors, I think of ping-pong.

It was on twice in a row on IFC the other night. Ironically I don't think it's been on either TNT or TBS for several years.
