No such things as surprises anymore it seems. At the 12/12/12 show they announced ahead of time that Eddie Vedder was going to join Roger Waters on "Comfortably Numb". It was a great performance, but it would have been elevated if no one saw it coming.

I wonder when the levee will burst and they choose to go a different route. Frankly I'd see nothing wrong with just making the halftime show all commercials, were it not for the paying crowd in the stadium to see it.

That's a tough one to answer. They haven't had any hit singles for nearly a decade, but their albums sell pretty good still and they tour rather regularly. But the NFL never really books modern rock acts for the show. I honestly think the only chance to see them do it would be if they did one from Seattle.

Nothing can top Prince singing "Purple Rain", in the fucking rain. And I don't even like him.

"Black Magic Woman" I presume.

Reminds me of the third episode of Homeland this season that used the flickering lights as tension because the Dellums character couldn't see what he was doing properly.

They shot their budget wad on it the first few episodes.

But Jesus his wife is still hot. I love how it listed her being 1977 Playmate Of The Year as one of her credentials, like it was an athletic competition.

I really disliked the radio guy with the shot voice they got as a talking head maybe even more than Chuck.

Well, he was dying in 1993 so you're not completely off-topic.

What did he steal from Hicks specifically? I've never gotten the whole story on that.

They've done ones on Lou Reed and John Lennon more recently.

Towards the end of the film they speak to that he was having to tour to finance Electric Lady Studios, and that it was burning him out in 1970.

Buddy Guy said he was the Coltrane of the electric guitar which I find more fitting.

I think a good comparison would be to Townshend, because his style is quite like anyone else's. He has huge hands and fingers which allow him an ease with his trademarks that other guys cannot come close to.

It was what grade-schoolers hoped what high school would be.

I distinctly remember seeing that scene from Barbarians At The Gate a long time ago running on HBO. What I DON'T remember is the lab guy :)

I don't know, just looking at the pic of the "Sloppy Joe" sketch has me laughing right now.

It takes place in a world Hogan and Vince McMahon concocted where wrestling wasn't fake, despite the latter's insistence that it was in the real world. See (or better yet, don't) also No Holds Barred.
