I'm guessing at least 3. Next week is the Glenn/Maggie/Abraham bus ride (yawn), then an episode with Carol in Slabtown and Daryll to the rescue, then finally back to the little chapel. Carol is really the only character I care about, so 90% of this show is just filler to me.

It bothers me that this show is solely graded based on its "message." The show has flashes of great voice acting (Sharon's speech in Cissy) and animation (the fisheye effect this episode), but the reviewer completely misses that to focus on whether or not Matt and Trey's perspective of current issues is valid.

Yeah that was a pretty big misstep, but it was only for a very short time. I remember hearing rumors that it was included only to have a picture of first-person shooter gameplay on the back of the box.

I'm surprised you feel Blacklist was an attempt to balance action and stealth, because I don't feel that way at all. Maybe that's just how you played it? Blacklist significantly weakened the "line up instant headshots" mechanic from Conviction while designing levels conducive to stealth, with multiple pathways and

Full disclosure: there's a small first-person shooter section that was apparently added so they could have a picture of FPS gameplay on the back of the box.

I have to chime in here because Splinter Cell is one of my all time favorite series. I love stealth action games, and they are at their best when they reward positioning, creativity, and patience. Splinter Cell Conviction is not a very good Splinter Cell game. It betrayed its stealth roots in favor of a blockbuster

Attention AVClub! While you're adding new features, perhaps it is time to consider a site redesign! Fear not, I have created a mockup that makes the site more readable, user friendly, and provides an organized portal to each feature of the site:

There, I've summarized the review for everyone.

I think it would have been more powerful imagery had the GR snuck into the houses and stolen everyone's bagels.

Trust me, even having a high-school level understanding of nuclear reactors is enough to make you roll your eyes during most action movies. Nuclear reactors are the wizard magic of sci-fi.

Had the bagel been raptured, at least we would have an interesting piece of plot development concerning the October 14th event. Instead, I fear all we will get is bagel character development.

Thank you. You perfectly summarized my problem with this story, but articulated it much better than I could have. I have no problem with a spectacular or unbelievable event being the catalyst for a character study, but to then ignore the event itself in favor of pure character development seems lazy to me. It leaves
