I would have done, if she'd been depressed enough to leave her boyfriend instead of being -just- depressed enough about their relationship, and sorry enough for me, to carry on a 2-year affair.

@avclub-19062770653aac69ecab308b0c1ed17c:disqus Those are the worst kind of realizations. The kind that haunt you to your grave.
@avclub-c6447300d99fdbf4f3f7966295b8b5be:disqus And I'm here to make you look like Don Juan.
I figure that in internet-world, as in real life, I'm just one of a horde of overweight middle-aged guys who fixate on mid-30s non-overweight women, and that the rest of this horde are all better than me in some way (richer, better-looking, funnier, smarter) and thus more likely than me to succeed in attracting such…
Greatest use of "Singin' in the Rain" - A Clockwork Orange.
Greatest use of "Bawitdaba" (or anything by Kid Rock) - pilot of The Shield.
@avclub-19062770653aac69ecab308b0c1ed17c:disqus you said "Also, I'm just going to turn the comments section for this article
into a place to relive horrifyingly awkward moments from my past, sorry

@avclub-e77c7b588569860fddcbe6e3d528295d:disqus "there is something inherently "creepy" about me and that is one of the many reasons I loathe myself."
Me too. That's why I loved Radiohead's "Creep" when I first heard it on Arsenio - it's about me, and how I feel anytime I'm in the presence of a woman I'm attracted to.
Amazingly untrue - apparently lots of AV Clubbers have lots of bad dates.
This makes me feel like even more of a loser.
I don't like any of them, or necessarily "root for" one to win vs. the others. But there's some entertainment to be had watching them beat each other down. Much as they enjoy the brutish, savage lower classes engage in blood sport, I enjoy the vicious, duplicitous upper classes stab each other in the back.
I haven't "got" them for a long time, either. I sure do miss them though. I've nearly forgotten, but seeing them on the screen (thanks premium cable, and of course the internet) helps me almost remember…. How fun they are to play with, and mmmm, nipples….
When I saw the abbreviation "JFC" I immediately thought of "Jesus Fucking Christ"
I heard that in Mike's voice. Like.
Having re-watched it, I can see that it's both. Walter starts the episode trying to talk down all the hype from GUM's previous victory, so it's clear he wants to fly under the radar as much as possible. But then he also explains to Rosie about teaching a horse one race at a time. And then laments, "Track record.…
@avclub-3496ca0ed1aae57bc8be4c969571fe61:disqus I don't know the reference, but taking the question literally, that would be me.
Sturgeon's Law applies.
Didn't MJ sell his music holdings to Sony awhile back?
That's the reaction I had - when I saw Haiku Tunnel.
I was disappointed by Bad Santa and Eurotrip that way.
