Wicca is supposed to be based on earth-based, female-dominant, pre-Christian religions. Mostly it seems like newage hooey.

Clayton makes the same point here as Rex does a couple threads up about Marisa Tomei. Very true.
What about the Sabrina remake, with Julia Ormond crushing on Greg Kinnear and getting played by Harrison Ford (c. 1995).
It seems to me it'd be a lot more difficult to be a male porn actor than a female porn actor. For one, dick size has to be at least 120% average. Then, have to get it up and keep it up, both during the act (don't shoot) and in between takes / position changes (don't flag). This has become less of an issue with the…
As stated above, J Garofalo was imho prettier in Cats & Dogs than Thurman (who looks better in just about every other movie than this one). Not so much lately, again imho.
In the absence of anything more substantive, I'm going to have to conclude that you (Mr. Greene) are full of shit.
Funny thing is, in that movie, I found Garofalo more physically attractive than Thurman. Which made the movie not work for me, since Cyrano is supposed to be less attractive than Christian.
Then again, I prefer brunette to blonde, Garofalo was much prettier and fitter then than now, and Thurman's mouth kind of…
I find Stephen Jay Gould's solution of Non-Overlapping Magisteria works the best.
@Benevolent Lurker - I am so with you.
What hurts the worst is when people point out that it's not so much looks, as self-confidence. Friends tell me to "just be confident". I've never known how to do that.
Even during that brief window, from my late-teens to early-20s, when I'd become less-dorky-looking and was in…

Fun bumper sticker quote (not sure if it's true, but it's fun):
"I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. They are so unlike your Christ." - Gandhi
I remember when Damon and Affleck were working on a series based on their ex-prof Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States to be broadcast on Fox. What happened to that?
Tyson is amiable, pleasant, avuncular.
McFarlane is abrasive, obnoxious, bullying.
Hard agnostic, soft atheist.
The supernatural is, almost by definition, unknowable. It's about belief, faith.
As a matter of faith, and reliance on Occam's Razor, I choose to believe the supernatural (incl. gods, demons, faeries, Santa Claus, etc.) does not exist.
But I can't be sure of it.
Hannah-Barbera sux.
Even as a kid, I thought Pluto was just … not like the others. Orbit way off the ecliptic, and so eccentric it crosses Neptune's. It always seemed to me like something different. I'm glad they found others like it, so it could have (and rule!) its own appropriate class of heavenly bodies.
Did SouthofHeaven actually say "Geddy Lee is going to RUSH the stage"?
Also, the North didn't start the war. The South did. By attacking the North.
JBP: No one here said any of the things you say when you say "to say…" or "the notion that …".
Just to note once again, that the reason the southern states seceded was - drum roll please - slavery. They said so themselves, in the documents they drafted explaining why they were seceding.
To make it even more clear:
It wasn't even about their right to own human beings as property in their own states, which wasn't…
