I'm being unfair, really. Aside from Broadway Here I Come we haven't gotten a single solo Jeremy Jordan song, whereas there have been quite a few solo Karen numbers since they met in addition to their duets.

Despite the fact that the character is an obnoxious ass, I really do adore Jeremy Jordan's voice. I thought his acting during that last number was spot on, and I loved the concept of the staging as well. His bits were fantastically sung, too.
The meta-commentary this season has been fascinating on some level. All Karen's talk about reinvention… Julia compromising/re-writing… Bombshell AND Hit List being about changing yourself to please others… Sean Hayes praising Megan Hilty and saying she's too good for the show… They know they're stuck on a sinking ship…
I love the Phantom connection and I hope they explore that.
I just utterly fail to grasp how we're meant to believe they were able to radically reinvent the tone of Liaisons "without changing a word!"
But not the decent Meryl's daughter, the other-Gummer, the one who was on Zero Hour instead of her own (admittedly short-lived) CW series.
I thought G for Gravity was pretty existential. I really had no idea what I'd watched until I watched it a second time, and when I realized, I found it very unnerving.
I thought E for Exterminate was terrifying, but that's my arachnophobia speaking.
@avclub-90baab843de92df35730705beb05aac7:disqus I actually found G is for Gravity to be one fo the better shorts. It's tough to grasp on first watch but after watching that one a second time (cause I had no idea what the hell had just happened) I found it quite chilling.
Maybe tv-watchers in the future will say "Wore the wig" instead of "Jumped the shark," and everyone will know what they mean because holy FUCK.
Yeah sorry but you're severely underestimating her (and most people under 40). I'm in my mid-20s and I know all three of those things. And Little Edie. You're severely underestimating Alaska too if you think she didn't know who Little Edie was.
I completely agree. I remember exactly zero distinct Roxxxy looks. Alyssa is fish… yay? Alaska literally brought a fish on the runway! That pink paint splatter with the neon pink gun! The saran wrap and trash bag! Girl knows how to ACCESSORIZE and make it memorable!
Alaska's looks have things in common, I guess, but that's how a "fashion collection" works. And have they entirely forgotten the INCREDIBLE pink paint splatter look or the green saran wrap? Those had very different silhouettes, Michelle…
Aha! That makes a lot more sense. I like Betty Bowers; I wish they'd just said that.
Having seen Alaska perform/improv on numerous occasions (even verbally sparring with her myself, so I know it wasn't rehearsed), girl is QUICK. I have no trouble believing that she wrote all that herself, no trouble at all. And if she can do it, I'm willing to believe people like Jinx can too, and it's more and more…
After that "No but, do you REALLY think you're bringing glamour?" (as though she were trying to be glamorous and failing, rather than being herself,) I was desperate for Jinx to shoot back, "No but, do you REALLY think you're being clever or funny?"
I was all set to call her a calculated bitch, but when I saw Mama Ru get choked up about how gay people get to choose their own families, I couldn't help but get choked up myself.
Her joke construction was technically PERFECT. She just really screwed herself over by going first, instead of closing. But her material was absolutely PERFECT to open the show… she was the perfect host, etc. But nah, she sold herself short! How dare she be nice! Why doesn't she take risks!
Michelle claimed on twitter last night that it wasn't an eye-roll, her mascara was sticky from crying.
I feel like Jinx and Alaska are best friends behind the scenes because they really do approach drag the same way, but we're just not seeing it on camera. DAMN EDITORS!
