The first season of Girls is one of the strongest first seasons of anything ever, and people who disagree were not willing to give it a chance to be good. It didn't fit their narrowly-defined version of "comedy" and so they dismissed it.

It's funny that "completely sane and normal" is something that can be said about an older man who became so obsessed with a Vegas showgirl that he proposed to her while she was shitfaced, and drove her home to live with his mother without so much as stopping by her apartment to pick up her things.

Thanks @Merve2:disqus . People act like everything everyone says is something Sorkin himself believes… I'm willing to give you failed comedy or badly-written dialogue, but not EVERYTHING is concrete evidence of the writer being unable to separate himself from his character, like people in these comment threads seem to…

But that's my point. Why aren't they things the characters think are good or things the characters think are bad? How are you positive that we can say SORKIN hates the Internet, instead of thinking it's Will who's SUPPOSED to look out of touch?

But every character ever is someone's creation. Every character is always a reflection of what's happening in the writer's head.

Because Russell and Steve are off on their own now, and they left Emma behind.

My favorite part about the episode was that apparently we're not able to remember what happened in the first part of a two-parter, so the characters all went around reminding each other of what they'd all talked about fifteen minutes earlier, just to make it clear that they were still talking about the same things and…

How many times can we fit "Sorkin" into each comment about this show? Let me try! This must be fun, since you all do it so often.
