Well I mean, she did decay pretty severely last season and she did have to have her face reconstructed…

Pretty good review! I like your point about the fact that we all know Michelle and Fanny will be teaching together so why not just get there, but I think for me… Hubbel's death at the end of the pilot was such a shock, it's like someone flicked a perfectly spinning top. The show's going to spin out of control for a

And Kathryn Hahn most definitely did not throw a drink in his face. They were two separate incidents. I can get past all of the tiresome "Sorkin sucks so you should hate this show!" snark in these reviews, but when the reviewers make easy factual mistakes… it drives me nuts. This is a problem across many AVClub

You're exactly right, @avclub-4a51fda79bbd54b4e7327dd6559b6c4d:disqus . This show isn't being treated fairly, at ALL. It should be reviewed independently of what Sorkin has done in the past. When you approach the show from the angle of "Sorkin has problems writing women," you're going to be looking for any little

I agree, the Jenna's Dad stuff felt a little off to me. I'm guessing it'll make more sense when we deal with the fallout next week. (Or not, judging by the preview). Two weeks?

Maybe that's why the woman on the phone couldn't find any reference to the site in her database?

Erica has "some sort of seizure?" The character was introduced as an epileptic.

No mention of my favorite sight gag? Disappointing…

Having rewatched the whole season over the past few days, there really isn't a "tonal unbalance" here. It's all remarkably consistent. I remembered the first few episodes differently than they actually are. Give them a shot.

Read that article again and try to understand what he wrote. It was totally right; we're used to seeing shows in a "masculine" construction, and this one is distinctly feminine. You've got some reductio ad absurdum stuff going on; that wasn't his point at all.

I like that we're getting regular coverage, cause this show is a guilty pleasure of mine, but is there any chance we could get a recapper who actually enjoys watching the show, instead of one determined to make me feel as guilty as possible for this guilty pleasure?
