He has a verse in "I Drive Myself Crazy." It's wholly unremarkable.

I don't just hate Avery. I hate Avery, and Gunnar, and Scarlett, and especially Oliver Hudson. At least I am supposed to hate Oliver Hudson. (I just think Avery's whole douche arc last season is not redeemable, especially because he's not that interesting and I HATE all of his music. Personal preferences, I guess.)

I am having a very hard time adjusting to the shift to pure soap, and I am a person who loves soap! Something just feels off to me about the whole endeavor. I am really enjoying Juliette's story this season so far, though, even if the "redemption of Avery" arc makes me want to hurl a bit.

But the CW genre shows have been infinitely more interesting than the CW's soaps, so I can't say I want them to go that route. (At least we still have Hart of Dixie?)

Jake 2.0!

Everyone here knows I'm totally in the bag for The CW but I was really, really impressed with their development this season. Sure, it all still has that CW patina but there are actual interesting ideas behind all of their new shows about pretty teenagers.

I really like the recut version of the backdoor pilot, which likely accidentally colored my opinion of this episode.

Ahem. I think getting severed from your family and friends is horrifying! I said so! (My family and friends might disagree, however.)

That fucking clown. You can't trust kids, man.

I want to dispel any notion that I am "planning" to take down the show the whole season, or that I have some sort of vendetta against it. I like this show! I want it to be good! But when it's not good, I'm going to say it wasn't good and why not.

I've liked her other novels and was going to ask if I should read this one. I guess not!

If Patrick and Nolan hook up every episode gets an A.

The thing about the actress leaving was a joke — it was definitely not a graceful exit. Another reason why I think this premiere was pretty clunky. Though her last scene was pretty decently soapy.

Conrad is, basically, the best. The actors definitely aren't the problem here.

I think it was because Ashley started getting uppity and demanding things from Emily, which ultimately puts her in the way of Emily's plans. Also, they needed the actress to leave the show.

That "Daven-deported" line was pretty painful. Gabriel Mann could barely get it out.

Do they ever do concerts set on the Parthenon steps like that? Usually the stages are somewhere else. If they don't, they should; it sure looked pretty.

This is my favorite thing.

I actually kind of liked Deception. It had a much more interesting premise, that's for sure. And Victor Garber!

You don't want me covering The Originals. The entire review would just be ELIJAH ELIJAH HEY GUYS DID YOU SEE WHAT ELIJAH DID HIIIIIIII ELIJAH!!!111!!
