I somehow totally missed Dorrit being in the 8th grade. I need to go take a Silkwood shower now.

Miller is 17, per the executive producer.
This was a really poor episode (and I slightly overgraded it, looking back on it) in comparison to what the show has done in the past. I would say check out "The Long And Winding Road Not Taken," which is an example of the show at its best.
PHRASING
Then there would be 300 comments here but none of them actually about the episode.
It's what the world wants.
I kind of enjoy it, mostly because Gillies uses his natural accent and also kisses ladies.
I totally agree with all of this. I think losing Alaric's voice has certainly affected the show for the worse, in ways the writers probably didn't anticipate when writing the arc.
Everyone keeps menitoning this but am I the only person who doesn't want any of the old people back? I love, love, love Alaric and he will always be my favorite character in this show's universe (except maybe Elijah) but if he comes back, it just completely cheapens everything his death meant. Supernatural kept…
He's a regular on The Originals, if that gets picked up.
Well, then that's just proper usage.
I just hate the word bitch directed at females. Personal bias.
I seal clapped at one point. It was embarrassing,
I have a problem with them signing just Scarlett to the label. It's so obviously contrived, because even though Gunnar didn't go to the showcase there's just no way they would ever think a solo Scarlett would be more marketable and successful than a Civil Wars-type duo. Especially now that the Civil Wars are broken up…
The whole time he was doing this I was all, "Avery knows how digital things work, right?" My guess is next week the songs get released anyway without him because THEY STILL EXIST. IN THAT COMPUTER.
MELEE IN THE GULCH.
THANKS OBAMA.
And we cover it right here! I swear! I've written many words about it, if people want to read them! (Seriously, though, so happy the show won. Very much deserved.)
I'm trying to think of another teen-focused show where there was only one significant adult character, and failing. I think the problem is there isn't another parental figure for Tom to interact with, so it's nearly impossible to develop him as a separate character with stories that don't touch Carrie or Dorrit's.…
Oh man, I quit watching Prison Break I was so mad they put Sara's head in that box. Then I caught up when they retconned the whole thing. I honestly still love the batshit insanity that was Prison Break.
