My introduction to Wodehouse was an omnibus collection called Wodehouse On Crime or something like that, and whoever did the introduction pointed out that in classic Wodehouse stories the usual conventions of morality and society are inverted — blackmail, alcoholism, insurance fraud, child endangerment, and theft both

Maybe the mixtape (for whatever reason) is radio edited?

And that short story is called "The Purity Of The Turf."

Oh, I definitely prefer sunlight filtered through heavy cloud cover.

There's absolutely a case to be made that the sitcom (a format developed by radio in the 30s and 40s) owes a lot to the light fiction of the teens and twenties, in which Wodehouse was a major (but by no means the only, or even the biggest) name.

While Fry and Laurie are probably the most perfect choices to play those two characters ever in the history of mankind (except Stephen Fry needs to wipe that smirk off his face), I can never watch any Jeeves & Wooster episode without muttering to myself at how much is going missing.

Yeah, Wodehouse was as apolitical a creature as it's possible to find. Which basically means he never progressed psychologically past the schoolboy stage… but that's a problem for his loved ones, not for those of us who just want to read his books and laugh our asses off.

HOLY SHIT YOU GUYS
Fuck yeah Wodehouse. I discovered him my last year in high school, and never stopped reading him. Which is a little terrifying; high school was fifteen years ago, and I'm still finding Wodehousiana I haven't read yet.

For using a Neutral Milk Hotel clip in a dance track Greg Gillis should be awarded a Grammy, an Oscar, a Nobel Peace Prize, and a truckload of blowjob-hungry teenagers.

Ross = Archie
Joey = Jughead
Chandler = Reggie
Monica = Veronica
Rachel = Betty
Phoebe = ??

Finally!
Now maybe we can get some fucking Ronettes and Crystals remasters out of Abkco — and maybe even release more than the same thirty songs over and over again out of the Philles catalogue.

Anyone up for pushing an uncooked Cornish game hen through gray drapes?

Invent fuck no. Perfect fuck yes.

I hope you're kidding. Star Wars could've been the only thing on VHS and it still would have been a viable technology.

I'll be damned. Always looked and sounded like a honky to me.

Wait wait wait…
The white Phil Lynott?

Comedy nerds attack!
He made up a "comedy joke" once, huh? Gee, he better join Dave Grohl and John Mayer as the Funniest Men in Music, then!

Bo Derek?

You're in luck. It is Kanye.

I believe Arsenio is mocking the pedophile-protesters here.
