Yeah, he definitely looked like a lankier Gyllenhaal, but it wasn't even obvious to me until the scenes in Crowley's office thing.

Yeah it definitely seemed like Kevin's death was conjecture instead of fact, and it made sense for Sam and Dean to think that given the message. He might have been close to death when Metatron when and got him but he laid hands and fixed that right up.

I love the way they're showing Crowley's theatrical flair vs Naomi's analytical coldness, even if they were a little heavy-handed with the theater stuff this episode.

The more I think about some of those confusing scenes, the more I think those were shot to either fill out the hour (which seems unlikely), or were put there because an EP or someone thought they needed to see more than Edlund was showing. Knowing how great of a writer Edlund is, I can almost imagine someone forcing

That made sense, and I totally understood why the episode was structured the way it was. Granted, Edlund could have had a much easier task if the season had been structured better, but that's not his fault.

Let me be clear, I didn't hate this episode by a LONG SHOT (I gave it a B). I enjoyed all of Cas' plot, any time Mark Sheppard gets to be a campy son of a bitch is great, and as soon as Metatron was introduced I was fuckin jazzed. I was just very very confused for the first half of the hotel story.

@avclub-15d496c747570c7e50bdcd422bee5576:disqus OH okay, that makes more sense, thank you thank you.

While I do love the metasodes, that doesn't sound too shabby either.

Dean even makes the claim at the museum (you know, the kind of museum where you can touch everything) that he knew what the offerings were, didn't he? The continuity between those two scenes seemed almost nonexistent.

Maybe I just had higher hopes when seeing his name, but yeah, you're totally right.

There sure was whole lot of stumbling to the introduction of Metatron. I think my favorite was when Dean, immediately after figuring out that the hotel manager was immortal (or just was Metatron? I don't know, that was very confusing), he goes back to the hotel and is genuinely shocked to hear Sam mention that there

This was a pretty enjoyable episode. Betsy's subplot was weird, but not nearly as weird as Creepy Sudden Intern who I don't even think has a name. This an episode where I could see the show TMP is trying to be, and I appreciated that (almost as much as I appreciated Danny's speedo). Plus, Mindy's barf was one of the

One of the multiple times in this episode where I had to pause the show just to laugh my ass off.

I just figured they're gonna taxidermy the Asian Sex Slave story, fix it up like new.

This is pretty much exactly how I feel, except I'm not 100% sure I'd be quite as drawn if it weren't Todd doing the reviews.

Todd's AHS season 2 reviews are what got me to watch and love that show for the campy fun mess it is. "does not like" is a strong phrase when you're dealing with something that gloriously insane.

This episode landed in a nebulous area somewhere between the B+ and the A- for me. There were a few hangups that bogged it down, but I really appreciated the execution. And I'm always game for Frances Conroy.

"the worst set of voices in all of animation" is an absolutely ridiculous claim, especially applied to Bob's. It's been a well-acted animated show since its outset, and I'd say that now it's one of the better-acted comedies on television.

I accept a lot of people's criticisms of Linda, because on some level I can see where they're coming from, but I think she's a strong part of the ensemble and John Roberts' performances are consistently fun and fantastic.

Very few actors or comedians come even close to the level of schlub Jon Benjamin wears (with pride, I should add).
